JOHNSON CITY & KINGSPORT – BCS Wealth Management celebrates its 25th anniversary. BCS Wealth Management started in 1998 as a separate firm and financial planning practice created by partners in his Blackburn, Childers & Steagall CPA firm in Johnson City. Charles Steagall, Jeff Blackburn, Karen McMurray, Tommy Greer, Jim Wilson and Mike Alread founded BCS Financial, LLC in February 1998.

Tommy Greer was Managing Partner of Blackburn, Childers & Steagall in 1998. Greer says: At the time, we knew fee-based companies were unique. Clients often ask if we can provide this service.

BCS Financial, LLC transitioned to BCS Wealth Management in 2010 to expand its service offerings. The company provides financial planning, investment management, insurance, corporate group benefits and family office services. The company has offices in Johnson City and Kingsport, with satellite offices in Greenville and Boone, North Carolina.

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, BCS Wealth Management established an annual scholarship fund at the ETSU College of Business and Milligan University’s William B. Greene Jr. School of Business. The company provides scholarships of $2,500 annually to eligible finance students at each university.
