CASPER, WY — April 3, 2025 — The Daniels Fund has awarded prestigious college scholarships to 28 high school seniors across Wyoming as part of its 2025 Daniels Scholarship Program. These scholarships, aimed at helping students with exceptional character, leadership potential, and financial need, are part of a broader initiative recognizing 230 students across Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
The Daniels Scholarship Program, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is designed to help deserving students attend the college of their choice. Scholarship recipients may receive up to $100,000 over four years to attend any accredited nonprofit college or university in the United States. For those attending one of the program’s partner schools in the four-state region, full cost of attendance may be covered.
A Milestone Year for the Program
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Daniels Fund, and in celebration, the organization awarded 25 additional scholarships, expanding the total number of recipients to 230 for 2025. Since its inception, the program has distributed more than $275 million in scholarships to over 5,400 students.
“These young people have demonstrated remarkable determination, character, and leadership potential,” said Hanna Skandera, President and CEO of the Daniels Fund. “We are honored to support them as they pursue their educational goals.”
Wyoming Scholars Represented Statewide

The 28 Wyoming recipients hail from high schools across the state, including Big Horn High School, Douglas High School, Evanston High School, Star Valley High School, and several others. The full list of 2025 Daniels Scholars from Wyoming is available on the Daniels Fund’s official website.
Each student went through a highly competitive selection process. Applicants were evaluated on key criteria including strength of character, leadership and community service, academic performance, and demonstrated financial need.
What the Scholarship Covers?
Recipients of the Daniels Scholarship may receive up to $100,000 over four years, depending on their chosen institution and financial aid needs. The funds may be used for tuition, fees, room and board, books, and other educational expenses.
In addition to financial support, Daniels Scholars receive personalized college guidance, mentoring, and career development support throughout their college journey. This holistic approach is designed to ensure long-term success beyond just academic achievement.
