CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Gigi’s Cupcakes will reopen on Saturday, July 29, under new ownership by the Cruse family.
Tyler and Trisha Cruse learned about the closing of the long-time Gigi’s bakery in an article on Clarksville Now and were interested in pursuing the business opportunity.
“We had a brief history with the business,” Tyler Cruse said. “We really enjoyed the product, and we used it to reward our clients and celebrate special occasions with our children. We’ve always wanted to get into the food niche, and it looked like an opportunity to do so with low risk and with something we love. This is a chance for our kids to grow up working too.”
Trisha Cruse added that she’s excited for the opportunity because baking brings a sense of fulfillment for herself and customers as well.
The former owner, Suresh Burle, committed to finance 95% of the sale if a motivated buyer came in, and he said would charge the buyer 0% interest. The Cruses said Burle followed through with his commitment, and that’s part of what made the business opportunity so enticing.
The family said that they own other businesses around town, such as their own real estate business and marketing firm. They expect to use their experience in marketing and customer service to their advantage as they prepare for the reopening of Gigi’s.
Gigi’s Cupcakes can be found at 620 Dunlop Lane address, and the reopening is scheduled for Saturday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
