Rice leaders met with members of the Danish Parliament’s March 6 event to discuss the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems of Rice and Houston. “Houston as a region loves risk-takers,” Rodriguez said. And it’s the perfect environment to work together.”
Rice is a small university and does things in a big way, said Zhou. She described how executive education program faculty continually meet with industry leaders in Houston to offer their expertise in energy, healthcare, and artificial intelligence. She said many industries are at a crossroads and managers need new ways of thinking about innovation and executing ideas.
“By talking to the industry, we help them think outside the box,” she said.
