Dallas-based Trinity Industries Inc. has acquired RSI Logistics in a transaction worth $70 million. RSI Logistics is a data-centric provider of proprietary software, logistics services and terminal management solutions to the North American rail industry.

In 2020, RSI will expand the breadth and quality of Trinity’s platform, adding logistics services, terminal operations and intermodal transportation,” said Jean Savage, President and CEO of Trinity, in a statement. And combining RSI’s expertise and reputation with his Trinsight’s innovative technology provides a unique tool that gives rail shippers greater control over their supply chain. ”
Named one of the “Top 100 3PL Companies” for 2021 and 2022 by Inbound Logistics, RSI supports 46 Fortune 500 customers with its software and logistics services, Trinity said. RSI offers a complete service suite through his four business units of software, logistics services, terminals and intermodal transportation.
The acquisition closed on March 8, with Trinity retaining all RSI employees as part of the transaction.
