A leading entrepreneur has joined the University of Aberdeen as part of a scheme aimed at strengthening links with industry and inspiring staff and students to become successful entrepreneurs.
Dr. Christine Reynet, Director of drug discovery consulting firm McC+R&D Consulting Ltd, has been selected for the Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) scheme.
Along with fellow Entrepreneurs in Residence Paddy Collins of Italmatch Chemicals GB Ltd and Steve Aitken of Intelligent Plant, she has created a prestigious Royal Society that allows experienced industrial scientists and entrepreneurs to spend one day a week at the university. Participate in association programs to develop projects that foster innovation and encourage entrepreneurship.
With over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Christine consults on the scientific, strategic and operational aspects of the drug discovery process and has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing industrial life sciences. She also has extensive experience in promoting and developing her research work from academic life sciences to translational.
As an resident entrepreneur, she will join Paddy and Steve to bring their expertise and insights to the university community and share their knowledge and experience with faculty, staff and students.
The overall purpose of Dr. Reinette’s residency at the Institute of Medical Science is to develop a strategic and operational model for identifying and promoting innovative, competitive, and impactful translational research projects. and support the development of guidelines.
