A car chase that began in southern Lubbock led to the arrest of Lubbock men north of town. On Monday, March 6, the Lubbock Police Department responded to reports of a hit-and-run on 114th Street and University Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they only found the vehicle that had been hit, and fortunately no one was injured.
KAMC news reports that Lubbock police officers were able to locate the fleeing vehicle and the driver of the vehicle at the corner of 50th Street and University Avenue. That’s when law enforcement tried to initiate a traffic stop, but failed when 31-year-old Adam Earles fled police and was forced to pursue the car.
After a while, spike strips had to be used in the area of 10th Avenue and University Avenue to slow Earls down. I reached the house. Deliberately hit a police car or general vehicle.

Earls was eventually detained at Block 600 of West Loop 289 and had a brawl with police when arrested, all of which occurred within an hour. According to the publication of this article, Earls is currently being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on six counts of bail totaling $150,000.
