Zachary Hartman is the Chief Policy Officer of the large nonprofit Ducks Unlimited. This partnership-driven, voluntary conservation model offers companies the opportunity to address soil health, water quality and quantity while enhancing biodiversity. Their project addresses the issue of climate change flood control, as ducks offer more opportunities for outdoor recreation. As Piasecki explains in his new book, this value-added perspective enables large-scale projects that form lasting partnerships to address some of society’s most pressing climate challenges. The benefits will be felt for generations to come.
